Treatment for Prostate Cancer can be of three types:
1) Preventive medicine to maintain low PSA levels.
2) Treatment of non-metastasized, local tumor in the prostate gland.
3) Treatment of metastasized prostate cancer.
Allopathic treatment for cancer relies on surgery (radical prostatectomy), radiation or chemotherapy. Whilst early surgical intervention may prove successful, recent research data suggests that prostate cancer screening may lead to overtreatment in men who do not actually need any cancer treatment. * Allopathic diagnosis relies upon DRE (digital rectal examination), quantification of PSA (prostate specific antigen) levels and subsequent biopsies to confirm the presence of prostate cancer. Often, multiple repeated biopsies are carried out over a few years in the same patient. The recent study showed that many men with low-risk prostate cancer are receiving aggressive cancer treatment even though active surveillance may be a safer and acceptable alternative for some men with PSA levels below 10 ng/mL. *
According to oncological literature, Stage 4 cancers have only 2.1% 5 year survival rate with mainstream treatments. This is the same as saying: with conventional treatment, 97.9% of Stage 4 cancers will die within 5 years.
Alternative Medicine for Prostate Cancer
Alternative treatment focuses on two things:
1) Understanding cancer as a systemic problem in the body, not just a malfunctioning part.
2) Utilizing a wide range of therapies, including lifestyle modification to support and enhance the body’s innate healing capacities to conquer from this disease.
Japanese Medicine: Onnetsu FIR and Hyperthermia
Local hyperthermia (heating the area of the body where neoplasm is located) is a powerful, alternative approach to cancer treatment. ONNETSU therapy, developed in Japan by Dr. Mitsui, brings this modality to a higher level of efficiency, as it combines the benefits of hyperthermia with delivery of precise FIR (Far-Infra-red) frequencies to the diseased tissues. This therapy can be successful, even with Stage 4 prostate cancers, and has no negative or toxic side effects.
The patient receives daily treatments with Onnetsu until signs of remission have become evident, and until lymphocyte-granulocyte ratios have normalized. According to Japan,s leading immunologist, Dr. Toru Abo, cancer results from an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system with concomitant disturbances in granulocyte-lymphocyte ratios. ONNETSU Far Infra-Red therapy brings these ratios back into the normal range by its combination of hyperthermia and specific micron range frequencies. This has proved a highly effective and non-toxic treatment for prostate neoplasms.
Approximately 88% of prostate cancers are non-aggressive and even when metastasized, will remiss under effective treatment: this means that only 12% of prostate cancer are severely life threatening. These aggressive forms are more difficult to bring into remission.
Chinese Medicine for Prostate Cancer
Chinese medicine can be effective for treating cancer and not just for relieving the effects of chemotherapy or radiation. Specific herbal formulas will be prescribed for the patient according to the patient’s presenting symptoms. These formulas contain herbs that research has shown to contain anti-tumogenic and anti- properties. Other herbs stimulate the thymus gland, or stimulate the production of Natural Killer Cells, which the body produces to destroy cancer cells. Certain herbs have an affinity with the area of the body where the prostate is located, and will concentrate their effects in this region.
Prostate cancer should be treated, or prevented, by looking at the entire body’s state of health. This includes the flow of the blood to various bodily organ such as liver, heart and brain; the health of the arteries and blood viscosity; total body pathogen burden, and the removal of infectious micro-organisms or parasites; diet, and the purification of the digestion system; the detox of heavy metals and/or other chemical toxins that may be contributing to a state of chronic inflammation which, in turn, gives rise to cancer. A broad spectrum supplementation including hi-dose Vitamin C, Quercitin, Pomegranate, Green Tea, Antioxidants, Vitamin D and herbal anti-coagulants, along with Chinese Qi Gong exercise and meditation are all required as part of an optimal, alternative treatment protocol.
