Spirit of the Bird – A charity benefit event*

Sunday, June 14, 2015, 9am – 12noon

Suggested Donation: $45

Location: XYZ Movement Arts, Friday Harbor, WA

Join us for this “full-flight” experience to rekindle our kinship with birds, and awaken our bird spirit. This workshop will donate proceeds to two charity organizations* – eagerly helping out the people and in particular orphans devastated by the recent earthquakes in Nepal. Your participation will not only mean a great deal for your overall development, but also to those across the world!

Human beings have been fascinated by birds since the beginning of time. In this workshop, we will explore movements drawn both from traditional yoga and also from our unique Infinite Body practice. These special movements and poses have been inspired by observing the flow-dynamics of birds. From emulating the graceful bio-mechanics of bird flight, we too can take to the air on a spiritual level, the level of our oneness with all of nature.

This is one of Katerina’s signature themes. Come and enjoy this state-of-the-art, one of a kind mind-body practice.

*Proceeds of this workshop will go to GlobalLiving.org (Nepal Earthquake relief) and EducationRevolution.org (Orphanage devastated by earthquake)

Nutritional Intelligence and The Power of 5

February 7th (Sat) & 8th (Sun), 2015, 9:00am – 4:00pm

Private retreat

This retreat will present a unique educational and experiential training

in how to nourish not just your body but also your mind and soul.

Participants will share the culinary delights of artfully prepared, healthy delicacies specially designed by our holistic chef, Debbie Lee, in a private, retreat-like setting.

Healthy nutrition requires knowing your metabolic profile, food allergies and any ongoing specific health condition. On a deeper level, how we feed our emotions, mind and spirit is no less important; we must tend most carefully to our individual essence.

Participants will learn flowing movements to enhance digestion not only of the food we eat, but of our thoughts and perceptions. This will awaken the mind and imagination. The Power of Five applies equally to our joints, our organs and our emotional body. Unlike conventional nutritional classes, this workshop includes an emphasis on the flow of our thoughts, feelings and vital energies.

You will learn:

  • Your constitutional type and your main nutritional and emotional requirements.
  • The 5 tastes and their link to the seasons, organs and emotions.
  • How to use the 5 Directions of Energy to enhance assimilation of nutrients into your physical body and your emotional centers.
  • Traditional and contemporary nutritional science in easy, practical applications.
  • How to create healthy meals and snacks in sync with each season.
  • How taste affects our digestion, energy and overall well-being.
  • How to use flowing, Infinite BodyTM movement to enhance your digestion and emotional integration.
  • The mysterious importance of water in nutrition, healing and inner growth.
